What a more inviolable fortress that could shield you against the ups and downs than the supplications of the morning and the evening?

Nay... this is not only the case but it is also the continuous progress of good ranks and deeds through reciting the supplications of morning and evening.... [The word (morning) has to be replaced with the word (Evening) when evening comes, as well as the word (this day) has to be replaced with the word (this night).]

Oh remembrancer, Remember before you start reciting them repeatedly that there are too many remembrances, notice the difference between those who recite it to protect themselves, nourish their minds, and feed their souls whenever their time is due and those who just parrot it....

Watch out not just to look at the letters or to move your tongue and lips without contemplating their meanings...

without thinking deeply about your weakness and needs and the might of Allah...

without thinking about your sins and the mercy of Allah that encompasses everything....

Take hold of it with might and praise Allah for that...verily, you will be one of those who sincerely praises Allah....
